natalie talamaivao

Natalie Talamaivao (Taranaki Iwi) has worked in the Government sector for over 15 years, first at Te Puni Kokiri (Ministry of Māori Development) and then at the Ministry of Health where her work had a distinct focus on Māori health research and monitoring. Natalie is currently working part time at the University of Otago undertaking a Health Research Council career development fellowship (Foxley fellowship) until the end of August 2020. The Foxley fellowship aims to advance the translation of research knowledge on racism as a major determinant of Māori health and inequities into policy action. One major output of the fellowship is the development of an approach to an anti-racism health policy framework.
